Mission

Tanzania Help Aged Foundation (T.H.A.F) is a compassionate, non-governmental organization committed to supporting elderly individuals who are living in extremely vulnerable and difficult conditions, especially those without family or financial support.

Our mission is to restore dignity and comfort to their lives by providing essential daily needs such as nutritious food, proper clothing, access to medical care, and social and legal protection. We strive to ensure that no elderly person is left behind or forgotten, and that each one receives the care, respect, and recognition they truly deserve.

Vision

Our vision is to create a society where elderly people—regardless of their background or health status—can live their final years in peace, safety, and dignity.

T.H.A.F aspires to build comfortable, secure homes for the elderly and establish a specialized foster care center or camp for those whose physical strength and independence have diminished. This camp will provide full-time support including personal care services like bathing, cooking, laundry, and maintaining a clean and healthy environment.

In addition, T.H.A.F plans to conduct in-depth studies on ageing in Tanzania, particularly in the Kilimanjaro region, to better understand the challenges faced by the elderly. We are also committed to preserving the stories, wisdom, and heritage of our elders for future generations, ensuring their voices are never lost to time.
